The Lake Washington Saddle Club has a pretty complete stock of jumps, including flowers, etc. - I believe they belong to the Saddle Club and not the Arena per se. I helped set up jumps for one of their shows a while back.

I know of a WSH PSZ approved judge. I'll PM you with her info. She's a great person.

Got it, Thank You!! We have to keep the ball rolling on this show. Maybe show the Saddlebreds in hand if we still have them!

I could check on a couple of gals who have judged for the kitsap saddle club in the past if you'd like. I dont know what kind of approvals ect they have but both are great gals and did a great job

Since I am taking bad my old TB. I am really considering coming to this show. Libby will probably not be show ready. But it would be fun!

This article had some good ideas for the trail class: www.completerider.com/trailhorse23.htm I thought mounting from the hay bail and a spritz from a squirt bottle were good ones. If you wanted to do a trail class on the trail you could set up obstacles along the trail and have a volunteer man the obstacles. Much more volunteer power would be needed to run the class though! What about pushing a huge ball? lots of ideas here (not all of them safe!): curlyhorsecountry.com/CSBcourse.htm

Does Bridle Trails have stalls available, and what kind?

I have one stall nearby if someone wants to stay overnight. I could actually fit more than one horse if some of them would get along - I have 4 separate enclosures, 2 with shelter.

I was just sitting here thinking how it would be kind of neat to set up a couple demos if possible, too. I remember someone posting about the minis. Maybe if we could come up with another short demo also to fill in the spaces between setting up different parts of the show?
Also, from what I understand, there are trails around Bridle Trails also. What if we set up a small horseback scavenger hunt for the people hauling all the way in for only one or two classes? Is there any possibility of that? I'd be more than happy to help plan something like this with someone familiar with the area. Familiarity of surroundings is the only thing stopping me from being able to do it all myself. We could charge a small amount for entry and it could be done any time from start of the show to end of day. Person with the most findings maybe gets part of the pot?
Just a couple ideas to run by the BOD

I know the area well and would love to help with a scavenger hunt! Sounds like fun!

Leah, if we can get BOD approval to do this, I would be happy to partner up in setting up the scavenger hunt with you. I have a couple of ideas that I thought of if we get the OK. I really don't think it would be too hard to set up or run because it would be done throughout the day. Also, items could be brought to me since I will pretty much be in one spot all day with the trail course.
It would be easy enough to just hand out scavenger lists at sign in and give them a dead line to have their list and items back to me at the trails course. I think it would be a pretty no muss, no fuss kind of thing to earn some extra cash at the show and keep people busy who have a couple hours between their classes.
