So, on the first of next month, Monday will be making his way up to Apple Valley, CA to live at a Thoroughbred farm in a pasture with my trainer's two homebreds. Though I'm nervous (get scared just turning him out!!!) he needds to learn how to be a real baby and socialize. He will come back in May/June (he will be a year old June 6!!!!) and will go to a few horse shows where they offer the Hunter Breeding division. He will go and hang out and show on the line and then go home. Fiona will be going up to Monty's to start her training.

Take some pictures before they leave.... we haven't "seen" them in quite a while. Monday must be quite a bit bigger by now.

okay, so those pictures I took of monday were deleted off of my card somehow. So When i get home tomorrow I will take the camara out (with a new card) and get pictures again. It makes me sad because there was the cutest picture of him jumping over a puddle from a leaky sprinkler! So sad. But you guys aren't going to believe it is even the same baby. He is HUGE (is wearing a 59/60 inch blanket!!!! my 14.2 hander wears only 8 inches bigger!) and SO SO SO red. His mane and tail are a nice beautiful flaxen color (he almost looks like a beach bum) and his markings stand out awesome. He is just so much fuN!!! even if he is the laziest baby on earth!

Okay, so change of plans for Fiona. She and Monday will be making the treck up to the high desert (halfway to Vegas!!!) either next wednesday or thursday. Monday is going to be turned out with horses 4 months older than he is, and Fiona will begin one on one training with one of their two trainers. They will first do 15 minutes a day and work up to an hour to where she will fully trust them and the owner of the place's kids. After that is over and done with she will be started under saddle. If at anytime they think she needs something more specialized, she will be going up to Solvang/Santa Ynez to Flag Is Up Farms. The owners of the farm (Harrison Farms Racing at Double D Diamond Ranch) live on the property and their home overlooks the pasture where Monday will be living with my trainer's 3 weaners and other race horse babies. Fiona I believe will live in the barn or in a small pipe corral. Thought you guys would like to know!! My dad and I drove up there today and I'm very excited about it. Hopfully monday will only be there until he is a year and a half/two years old and then we will bring him back down to the house so he can start showing on the line.

www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=8821144&uid=3360661Okay, so it has been forever and a half since I posted Monday pictures! Here are a huge batch of them from today! The light was going, so I didn't get any of Fiona (she hates the flash), but I will get some of both of them in two weeks! Mon will be 6 months on the 6th of Decemeber. Can you believe it??? He has his winter fuzzies on right now, so you can't really see all the white (also beecause the camera wanted to go fuzzy today!). We are going to try to get him PtHA (pinto) registered. he is a minimal sabino overo! anyways! enjoy!!!

Yes, what a cute big thing!
Gee, six months old - he - well, I guess I should say mom-to-be Fiona- is one of the first rescues I saw happen on COTH.
(At least this move will be done a little more leisurely than the last time they were moved out - to escape the fire.)
