I was wondering if anything ever happend with this mare, or if she is still available?? I know everyone must be extremely busy with the holidays, but was just wondering.

Horsekrazi, a few phone messages were left and went unanswered. So I am not sure what this mare's status is. I was unable to get to Gig Harbor to check it out.

An update: One of our members is going to attempt to contact the owner and go out to take a look. We'll let you all know what she finds out.

Sassy arrived safely at her new home early this afternoon and is now happily munching away in her new pasture. She and Tully are working out the pecking order, but seem happy enough with the new arrangements. ;D
A big thanks to qhbuddy for putting this together. Sassy never had a better friend!

Thanks to LDH, Sassy is in a perfect home. Nice kids to pay attention to her, brush her and ride (once she gains some MUCH needed weight) and two very gracious caretakers that were willing to take in an old gal a little down on her luck.
Sassy didn't stick around the group for us to take too many pictures, but I'll post the ones I have tomorrow.
There are a lot of free horses out there on the various lists. I'm very happy that one of them is a bit safer and now - not for sale to feedlot.
Cheers

Awesome picture. Thanks qhbuddy! Of course, that's Miss Tully on the right, and Sassy on the left. She looks like she's never seen grass before, poor baby!!

Sassy is settling in just fine! The girls enjoy each other's company very much. However, Sassy prefers Tully's grain to her own, and Tully being so eager to share with her new sister...Sassy now has her supper on the opposite side of the fence. ;D
The kids love her, Tully loves her....heck, we all love her!
