We have a need for foster homes for 5-6 horses on an emergency basis. Even a very short term foster home would be helpful. All expenses paid. Horses may not be in good condition and will need experienced foster homes.
If you can help, or know someone who can, please contact me at jaime@safehorses.org.
Thanks! Jaime

Where are the horses located? All expenses, does that mean hay too? I have a spot open, but live in E. Washington. IF the horses are bad off, they probably wouldn't travel well.. Just throwing that out there. But I am here if needed.

Preferably in the Monroe/Snohomish/Duvall area so that Dr. Hannah has easy access to them, but thank you for the offer! And yes, that means hay, grain, everything.

I can possibly offer a spot this spring/summer too, but I don't have the set-up for isolation so the horse would need to be healthy.

You know what... I know of someone who might do it. They would get EXCELLENT care. They are in Seabeck. Would that be too far away?

I just joined this group and sent in my info. I have two stalls avalible now and could take on a couple of horses or mare/foal. I have done rescues before and rehabbed many horses. All three of mine are rescues. I hope to be able to help. I mailed in a foster form yesterday. I couldn't get the computer to let me fill it out and send it email. Please come take a look at my home, talk to me and meet my horses. I would love to help.

Hi mswan, and welcome! Right now SAFE is absolutely inundated with offers to foster and volunteer with these horses, and with the intensity of care that these horses need, have not had time to follow up on these offers, but I assure you we will be contacting you. These particular horses will need to stay at their current location for several weeks as they are not stable enough to move, so the immediate need has lessened. However, we still do need foster homes to help with our other horses which will help lessen the burden of the Carnation horses.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm sure you need to be careful about the people you foster the horses with. That is great that you have enough help. Liz has my number if you decide I might be of some help. I live in Duvall.
